Best Team in Doodle Tower Defense: Team Comps for Every Mode
What is the best team in Doodle Tower Defense?
Mix roles instead of stacking rarity: two damage dealers (Reaper, Wizard), splash (Bomber), detection (Radar), a slow (Gluer) and a buffer (The General). Teams have 6 units. Free players can start with Gunner, Burner, Bomber, Gluer, Radar and Banker.

These teams are our suggestions, built from the developer's and in-game ability descriptions and the community tier list. Base stats for every unit are in the units stats table; adjust the teams to the units you own.
Starter team (free to play)
Cheap 3★ units carry Act 1: Gunner covers flyers, Burner and Bomber handle groups, Gluer slows, Radar reveals hidden zombies and Banker pays for upgrades.
Boss Rush team
Bosses ignore stuns, so stack single-target damage (Reaper, Sniper, Berserker), slow the boss with Gluer and buff the carries with The General.
All-round team for harder Acts
Two strong damage dealers, splash for big waves, Radar for hidden and flying zombies, a slow and a buffer.
Strong team without 5★ or 6★ units
Uses 3★ and 4★ units only: long-range Sniper, fire-and-ice Wizard, high-DPS Trapper, splash Bomber, then slow and detection.
How do you build a good team?
- Cover every enemy type: hidden and flying zombies need Radar or Gunner, armored zombies need Sniper or Bomber's Crack upgrade. See enemy types.
- Bring one slow: Gluer keeps zombies in range of everything else.
- Add income early: Banker pays money every wave (max 2 on the map), so you upgrade faster.
- Watch placement limits: Wizard and Gunner max out at 5 on the map, Dragon and Banker at 2 (in-game panels).
- Plan for weather: aliens can steal units, so do not put everything into one carry.
What about Draft Mode?
In Draft Mode you cannot bring a team. Take damage first, then a slow or detection when offered, and do not stack only supports.
FAQ
What is the best team in Doodle Tower Defense?
There is no official best team. A strong all-round team mixes two damage dealers (for example Reaper and Wizard), splash damage (Bomber), detection (Radar), a slow (Gluer) and a buffer (The General).
How many units are on a team?
Six. The Display All Units pass description says all 6 of your team units follow you around the mall (3 without the pass).
What is the best free-to-play team?
Gunner, Burner, Bomber, Gluer, Radar and Banker: cheap units that cover flyers, groups, hidden zombies and income.
What should I bring to Boss Rush?
Single-target damage such as Reaper, Sniper and Berserker, plus Gluer to slow the boss. Stuns do not work on bosses.
